Job Description

Quickbase is looking for a Senior Technical Learning Experience Designer for our growing Customer Education team! Key Responsibilities

  • Work with a variety of stakeholders (product, marketing, sales, customer success) and subject matter experts to develop engaging and effective, customer-centric learning experiences for both technical and non-technical audiences. 

  • Responsible for maintaining Quickbase University and evolving our on-demand offerings.

  • Provide LMS expertise, support, and innovative solutions.

  • Develop range of instructional materials and products for technology-based courses, including online, mobile, immersive and performance support (e.g., self-paced guides, microlearning videos, case studies, job aids). 

  • Demonstrate and utilize effective needs analysis, project management, course development, and evaluation skills. 

  • Repurpose and curate existing content as we work toward a proactive method of content creation.

  • Utilize the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) framework to promote inclusivity and accessibility, ensuring all learners can participate in meaningful, challenging learning opportunities.

  • Build and deploy comprehensive learning paths, courses, and assist the Certification Strategist with exam development while maintaining Quickbase's content and branding guidelines. 

  • Participate in regular Agile backlog refinement sessions and planning sessions to breakdown learning content into smaller deliverables to drive continuous delivery and feedback loops. 

  • Act as a technical advisor by mentoring peers to apply experience and subject matter knowledge to drive best-practice learning experience design and resolution of challenging issues. 

  • Provide leadership to business development efforts such as assumption testing, product promotion, and partnership formation. 

  • Incorporate learner feedback and metrics into learning experience improvements. 

Position Qualifications 

  • BS degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Engineering) preferred

  • 5+ years of SaaS industry experience creating high-quality technical training, activities, and instructional content that can be standardized and templatized to reduce development and maintenance time and deliver expectational user experiences. 

  • Demonstrated design process (e.g., ADDIE, Agile, RID) to develop design documents that communicate your learning strategy to guide you and your stakeholders through initial needs analysis through implementation and evaluation. 

  • Experience utilizing training development tools such as: Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia.

  • Project management skills and "hands on" tactical management of learning experience / product development.

  • High-level ability to analyze and interpret data to drive future design improvements, direction, and to quantify and validate design effectiveness. 

  • Conceptual knowledge of software development. 

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate high impact messages and complex ideas in an effective, concise fashion in both verbal and written format. 

  • Is agile and adaptive with the ability to work through ambiguity, prioritizing to move work forward.
