Job Description: Mastodon Design is looking to hire a Electrical Engineer - Test to support our expanding product portfolio. In this role, you will be responsible for qualifying and introducing new product platforms to operations, developing product and board level test plans, sustaining product lifecycles, co-develop test fixture product platforms for manufacturing product lines, and provide technical guidance to operations personnel. You will also provide product engineering support to design teams and provide support for engineering test change requirements. You will be operating in a dynamic manufacturing and engineering environment with continuous interaction with key Mastodon personnel.

What You'll Get to Do:

• Qualify and introduce new products (Productization) from initial product concept phases through full product release
• Develop, release, and implement test plans for new products
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and produce optimal product test solutions
• Provide Test Support of RF Antenna Calibration
• Work closely with the hardware engineering team to establish sound measurement science fundamentals on all subassemblies, circuit boards, final assemblies, and OEM systems
• Co-Develop test fixture platforms for manufacturing product lines, including circuit boards and finished goods. Qualify product parametric performance with electrical test equipment such as RF Signal Analyzers, RF Power Meters, RF Network Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, and other electronic test equipment
• Provide design feedback and solutions to product design teams
• Drives product and product test issues to closure with resolution
• Provide hardware test support for ECO's, ECR's, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and critical production line issues
• Provide Lifecycle Engineering Support for all Mastodon Production Products
• Participate in design reviews, introduce new technical capability, including test equipment, automation enhancements, design improvements, and measurement science to the engineering organization

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical or computer engineering (or similar field) with a minimum of 3 years of industry experience in a test or hardware electronics development role
• Ability to demonstrate advanced level knowledge of the following tools: Mentor Graphics Design Suite, MATLAB, Visio, MicrosoftTM Office Tools, LTSpice, Pspice, Python, C#
• Demonstrated use, selection, and application of RF test equipment in high frequency through microwave frequency bands.
• Ability to interpret complex parametric data sets and results
• Ability to interpret, modify, and construct test programs for electronic subassemblies through final assembly written in Python 3 and MATLAB
• Ability to achieve and maintain a DOD security clearance

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

• RF Antenna test experience and basic theory of operation
• RF Amplifier hardware test experience
• Hardware Electronics test experience
• MIL-STD-461G test experience
• Printed circuit board design and assembly
• Project leadership skills within a multi-functional team
• Packaging and electronics material handling experience
• Experience working in a precision electronics manufacturing environment

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$54,900.00 - $109,800.00
