About the Job:

SSENSE seeks a Software Developer (Level 2) to join our rapidly growing technology team. As a Level 2 Developer, you will collaborate within an agile squad to deepen your knowledge of software development, focusing on modern frameworks, cloud-native solutions, and scalable systems. You will autonomously develop and deliver well-defined features, contributing to the continuous improvement of our products and systems.

Ā What you will do:

  • Product Delivery:Ā Collaborate on technical design, contribute to documentation, build expertise through peer learning and code reviews, and deliver features independently while adhering to best practices, security standards, and quality guidelines.
  • Ownership and Accountability:Ā Ensure code quality through unit tests, automated tests, and collaboration with QA Analysts, while taking ownership of creating, organizing, and maintaining technical documentation for the team.
  • Knowledge Sharing and Mentorship:Ā Stay up to date with technologies like TypeScript, React, Node.js, and cloud services through workshops and training, while supporting onboarding by mentoring new developers and providing guidance on tools and practices.
  • Architecture and Systems Understanding:Ā Implement detailed design solutions and contribute to system improvements.
  • Recruitment and Community Engagement:Ā Participate in the recruitment process by attending tech events, evaluating coding assessments, and identifying top-tier talent.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • At least 1 year of software development experience, including object-oriented programming (OOP) and working with modern frameworks like React or Vue.js.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript, with experience in Node.js for building scalable backend services and familiarity with microservices architecture.
  • Knowledge of caching mechanisms (e.g., Redis) and experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including writing optimized queries.
  • Experience with Git for version control, cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure), and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
