Software Development Engineer - Test

As part of a highly energetic team, you’ll collaborate closely with the development team and cross-functional stakeholders to comprehend features and leverage data-driven test results to shape and refine Apple products. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to collect fitness data to gain firsthand user experience and apply those insights for upcoming innovative location features across various operating systems, including iOS and WatchOS. We’re seeking an engineer with a fundamental understanding of GNSS and its practical applications in real-world scenarios. You’ll utilize your programming expertise to automate test processes, conduct data analysis, and generate comprehensive reports. Description In this position, you will be responsible for executing tests on iOS, tvOS, watchOS, and macOS devices for GNSS and Fitness Features. You will identify and report any issues encountered, and subsequently verify their resolution. Additionally, you will implement experimental protocols utilizing various measurement systems and promptly communicate the resulting data. - Engages in moderately challenging assignments that necessitate sound judgment in resolving issues or formulating recommendations. - Designs diverse Apple product testing environments within the lab or on field, optimizing the testing process for efficiency. Minimum Qualifications • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience. • 2 plus years of experience writing Python code Preferred Qualifications • Passionate for Fitness & Health features and user experience • Excellent debugging skills & experience troubleshooting • Deep understanding of QA methodologies and Automation • Experience in developing test strategies and executing it with automation or manual testing • Laser-focused on the smallest details that are meaningful to our customers • Ability to thrive in a reciprocal environment and can communicate clearly while expertly driving multiple projects Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $126,800 and $220,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
