TITLE:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Software Engineer, Back-End
LOCATION: Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Blockgraph, LLC, 1384 Broadway, Floor 20, New York, NY 10018
SALARY:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â $142,600 to $165,000 per year
DUTIES:
Build enterprise-level, cloud-native software using modern development practices including developing technical specifications for writing well-designed, testable, efficient software code, and conducting and/or participating in tech design and code reviews. Drive optimization, testing and tooling to improve the performance, availability and scalability of the platform. Feature development on top of the data platform. Build automation testing for infrastructure and platform. Production support and help maintain system uptime. Work closely with DevOps team to build packaging and deployment programs. Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures areas according to company-specific development practices. Integrate software components into a fully functioning software system and document and maintain software functionality. Tailor and deploy engineering tools, processes, and metrics for the Blockgraph platform’s software. Work with Product Management teams to understand technical requirements and functional designs, and implement new features according to best practices. Analyze requirements, design and implement microservices for the team. Maintain the Kubernetes package manager for a CI/CD (continuous integration/continuous deployment) AWS project. Partner with global engineering, product, and operations teams to further incorporate collective innovations and coordinate within and outside of teams to complete high-quality, complex platform features or application infrastructure development in a timely manner. Execute on technical decisions and ideas for software refactoring or redesign.
EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field; and 4 years of experience using Java, Go and Python programming languages; 2 years of experience using any data streaming technology to build real-time streaming data pipelines; 2 years of experience using any NoSQL database in-memory open source distributed key value to build pipelines and sync data; and 1 year of experience using any SQL, open-source relational database. Eligible to work remotely, required to work from Blockgraph office at least two times per month.
