Software Engineer, Google Compute Engine Fleet Maintenance

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or a PhD.

Responsibilities

• Engage in research, design, implementation, project planning and operational/support work and participate in an oncall rotation currently business hours only, but this may change.
• Evolve and expand tools and servers that manage maintenance events and experiences across the Google Compute Engine Fleet Maintenance (GCE) fleet.
• Contribute to several projects, working closely with colleagues in Dublin and the US (Seattle).
• Generate ideas and inject thought leadership into team designs and discussions.
• Help grow other engineers and support a strong, healthy engineering culture within the team.
