The Role
Reorg is seeking a dedicated Software Engineer, Mobile, to craft and refine our mobile applications for Android and iOS platforms, serving as a key player in our mission to deliver unparalleled credit market intelligence. This position is based in our Bogotá, CO office.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of advanced applications for the Android and iOS platforms.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, build, test, and realize new features.
- Uphold and enhance code quality, organization, and automatization.
- Contribute to continuous evaluation, discovery, and implementation of new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
- Ensure robust and responsive user experiences by addressing and rectifying performance issues.
Requirements
- Solid understanding of mobile app development, including Android SDK, Swift, and/or Objective-C.
- Proficiency in at least one core programming language (Kotlin for Android; Swift for iOS).
- Experience with mobile development frameworks and tools such as React Native, Xamarin, etc.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect mobile applications to back-end services.
- Strong knowledge of mobile UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
- Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
- Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks.
- Understanding of Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines.
- Experience with performance and memory tuning tools (like Instruments and Shark, depending on platform).
- Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning and build tools, such as Git and Gradle.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong passion for mobile technologies.
Preferred
- Experience in a DevOps environment, utilizing CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications.
- Knowledge of mobile app security best practices.
- Prior work with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their integration into mobile applications.
