About the team:

This position is for a senior Mainframe Developer Role for a distributed team based out of India and US. It is for an in-house payments Credit Card product with a North American customer base. The Team works in Agile SAFE mode with bi-weekly Sprints and primarily handle Development work for the product.

What you will be doing:

• Understand high level business requirements to analyze existing mainframe code and identify changes or develop new programs.
• Develops, maintains and upgrade COBOL programs, CICS Screens, Jobs, Procs, VSAM data sets and other Mainframe tools required to implement changes in the product.
•  Performs unit testing and support various Testing Teams for System testing and User Acceptance testing.
• Effectively communicate with various stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, understand and implement complex mainframe changes and take up complete ownership of allocated tasks and product areas.
• Overall pro-activeness to understand and highlight any risks or security vulnerabilities.
• Support various stakeholders and product owners with any technical queries.
• Organize and maintain any documentation related to development activity.
• Ability to analyze any reported defect and provide a solution.
• Other related duties assigned as needed.

What you bring:

• 10+ Years of experience in Mainframe Development.
• Good knowledge and hands on experience with COBO, CICS, JCL, DB2, VSAM and other relevant Mainframe Technologies.
• Experience with batch jobs, procs and JCLs and ability to analyze and resolve Job ABENDs.
• Experience in Defect resolution and test support.
• Experience in Agile and SAFE (familiarity with Agile Tools like JIRA)
• Knowledge of Payments and Card Industry

Qualification: BCA/BSC/BE/ME/B.Tech/M.Tech (Information Technology/ computer)
