Job Description

As our Software Engineer focusing on Service and Asset Management software, you will join our Global Support Delivery team in Itasca, Illinois or remotely in the US where we strongly believe that working hard and having fun are two compatible elements. 

This role has some specific regular tasks but also has many ad hoc tasks.

Tasks include but are not limited to:

• Support internal and external customers by resolving issues logged via our case management tool.
• Work independently using experience, professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
• Maintain active work load, keeping all cases up to date and current on progress and status.
• Be active with the IFS Community answering questions related to the technical components of the IFS suite.
• Stay current on knowledge of new IFS functionality and technology in area of expertise.

Requirements

• Modern application infrastructure with Microsoft and Java(Oracle WebLogic) as the platform for business applications.
• Oracle PL/SQL development experience is REQUIRED for this position
• Knowledge of the .net framework and C#.
• Experience with mobile software development and Support.
• Mobile development and scripting a plus.
• Strong knowledge and experience in a Service & Asset Management, Maintenance or Field Service Management industry.
• Previous working experience with Enterprise-grade software is a definite advantage.
• Knowledge and/or experience in Distribution and Supply Chain processes a plus.
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• Practice effective self-management.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Familiarity with the IFS product suite a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be a US citizen with the ability to work with ITAR sensitive customer issues.
• BBA in MIS or BS in Computer Science with Software Engineering emphasis or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of software engineering experience
