- Partner with IBM Expert Labs sellers and account teams to develop winning technical solutions and service proposals for IBM technology engagements ensuring the proposed solution is differentiated deliverable and commercially competitive.
- Lead the creation of high-quality client-facing deliverables during the sales cycle including solution architectures effort estimations (SOW-level) delivery roadmaps risk/mitigation strategies TCO/ROI models and compelling presentation materials that clearly articulate IBM’s value proposition and win themes.
- Act as the primary technical trusted advisor to clients and prospects in pre-sales situations; lead discovery workshops present solution visions demonstrate IBM Service capabilities.
- Respond to RFIs/RFPs shape client requirements contribute to proposal strategy and content and collaborate with service pricing and contracts.
- Post-contract award lead the solution blueprinting and design authority phase: translate won scope into detailed target architectures define technical blueprints security controls integration patterns capacity plans migration strategies etc.
- Provide hands-on leadership during project mobilization and early delivery stages guiding multi-disciplinary IBM and partner teams to ensure the implemented solution meets agreed client requirements quality standards and architectural guardrails.
- Maintain deep and current expertise across the IBM technology and services portfolio and understand interoperability and consumption models to maximize IBM ecosystem leverage.
- Act as the technical bridge between clients IBM account teams global delivery centers and ecosystem partners throughout the pursuit and delivery lifecycle.
- 10+ years experience in IT system with 5+ years working on solution architect role
- Architect related certification would be an advantage
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills with immediate client supervisor and peers as well as presentation organizational and planning skills.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to gain clients confidence and maintain a professional relationship with clients peers and management.
- Capable of acting as a team lead on certain projects and supervising multiple developers assisting them with the programming and analysis functions. Develop work plans for individual tasks; work with minimal direction.
- Experience with an agile development methodology as well as participating in JAD sessions and performing user requirements definitions.
- Demonstrated ability to present technology solutions to executive levels
- Ability to define architecture design and oversight of key national projects providing guidance and knowledge transfer to field resources.
- Able to work independently and multi-task while managing multiple customers at a time
