JayCare Therapy is the leading provider of daycare & home-based early intervention services in Philadelphia County, PA The primary role of a Special Instructor at JayCare is to improve the cognitive and play skills of the child. The care provided by a Special Instructor is fundamental to promoting early cognitive skills, increasing attention span and appropriate cooperative play in young children and improving their quality of life. The most crucial years for improving brain development is ages birth to five. A Special Instructor can assist with the special education a child needs even before they begin school. As a Special Instructor at JayCare, you should expect to: • Follow Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and develop methodologies for reaching each child’s specific developmental goals. • Provide various strategies to family members or caregivers and facilitate active involvement to carry-over in day-to-day activity. • Provide services in different settings such as homes, daycares, centers, or other community settings. • Ensure that progress is evident and that family members or caregivers are active participants in early intervention through addressing specific goals and communicating with the entire team. Requirements: • Masters in Early Childhood or Special Education, or a B.A in Psychology • PA Teacher's Cert in Early Childhood/Special Education • Strong Clinical & Interpersonal Skills • Excellent Written & Oral Communication Skills • Minimum one year of experience working with preschool-age children with disabilities and their families Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour Immediate caseloads available! Jaycare is now offering weekly pay options for Elwyn providers JayCare Therapy is currently offering Special Instructors’ an additional $10 per hour for all bilingual cases. We will build your caseload according to your areas and times of availability. We are looking for full time, part time, or even just one day a week. We will customize your caseload to meet your geographic and scheduling preferences. We are open to hiring with Special Instructors’ little or no experience in the field, as we provide comprehensive, hands-on training.
