Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr Manager Software Architecture to join our world-class team in the Research and Development organization developing Microscopy Products. This is an outstanding opportunity to lead a team of architects and technical leaders with a strong track record of delivering innovative solutions in the field of software and product development.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of software architects within the Material Science R&D department.
• Collaborate with peer managers and architects to ensure project scoping, definition and solutions are effectively realized.
• Take charge of driving the development of innovative products, drawing upon your established skills and proficiency in software engineering.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages creativity and excellence.
• Compete in a fast-paced environment to deliver high-quality results and contribute to the company's ambitious growth targets.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
• Connect with industrial partners, knowledge centers and universities on the development of new concepts or modules to support our product roadmap.

Requirements:

• Bachelor or master's degree in Software engineering, Physics or related field, with experience in architecting and design principles of software development.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in multidisciplinary product and/or software development environment, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering sophisticated development and engineering projects.
• Outstanding problem-solving skills and ability to think critically in high-pressure situations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
