Senior Member Services Specialist
Location:San Jose, CA (Hybrid)
Compensation:$34.46/hour + exceptional benefits

We’re looking for abilingual (Spanish/English)Senior Member Services Specialist who can be the welcoming face and trusted guide for our diverse participant community. You’ll help Union members understand and use their benefits effectively, navigate claims and eligibility, and connect them with programs that improve health outcomes.
This isnotyour typical call center job — it’s a chance to work directly with people, educate them, and solve problems in meaningful ways.

What You’ll Do
•
Serve as themain point of contactfor members, unions, employers, healthcare providers, and vendors.
•
Explain benefits, eligibility, and healthcare plan details in person, over the phone, and at worksites.
•
Host and attendenrollment events; guide members through enrollment processes.
•
Provide proactivehealth educationpresentations and one-on-one consultations.
•
Handle walk-in and phone inquiries; investigate issues and recommend improvements.
•
Manage escalated member/provider concerns with professionalism and empathy.
•
Keep current on all benefit plans, policies, and systems to deliver accurate, timely information.
•
Train other Member Services team members on advanced processes.
•
Participate in special projects and outreach programs to increase engagement.
•
Travel outside normal hours/locations when needed to reach participants.
What You’ll Bring
•
2–3 years’experience in healthcare, insurance, union services, or community engagement.
•
Associate’s degreein Business, Healthcare Administration, or equivalent experience.
•
Fluency in Spanish(required).
•
Strongcustomer service skills— call center experience a plus.
•
Comfort working withdiverse communities.
•
Ability to travel between San Jose and Monterey (2 Thursday per month). While there is local travel (mileage/gas reimbursed), many candidates enjoy the variety and direct engagement it provides compared to a standard call center setting.
Schedule & Compensation
•
Monday–Friday| 37.5 hours/week | 7.5 hours/day.
•
Hourly rate:$34.46
