BASIC PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITION
The Sr. Product Manager is the industry expert for Compact and Utility Tractors (CUT). They are paramount in the life cycle, promotion and support of all aspects of the assigned product line within the CUT group. In this role you have the opportunity to collaborate with product and service engineers, marketing and advertising professionals, global product planning personnel to drive the continuous improvement an outstanding Compact and Utility Tractor product line.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES:
• Responsible for managing Compact and Utility Tractor (CUT) product development and marketing across Kubota North America.
• Research, recommend, and implement product developments, improvements, and strategies and to increase sales and profitability for new and current Compact and Utility Tractor offerings in accordances.
• Responsible for New Product Introduction (NPI) following established NPI processes.
• Developing and determining the most effective programming and promotions related to financing and order writing to will deliver most effective profitability for Kubota.
• Managing and launching the go-to-market plan of the product both in terms of product positioning and demographic to align promotions and activities with the Marketing Department.
• Maintain an continuous, accurate, and reliable pipeline of information across internal business groups such as, engineering, sales and marketing, parts and service to ensure consistency and effective collaboration.
• Oversee the creation of marketing materials and communications such as product guides and bid specifications, magazine ads, brochures, digital presentations.
• Strategically leverage marketing assets to highlight product features and Kubota-specific competitive advantages of new and existing products to Kubota Dealers and end users.
• Mentor product marketing specialists and product marketing managers on operational procedures and product development best practices.
• Ability to work with non-US based Engineering and Sales teams to develop future product roadmap and define product requirements.REQUIREMENTS
• High School Diploma or GED Required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or another related field preferred
• 7+ years of related experience in full cycle product development.
• Extensive knowledge of market trends, mechanisms, operations and applications within the Compact and Utility Tractor market or related industries.
• Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to be flexible and work as part of a team.
• Proficient using SAP, PowerBI, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Possession of or ability to obtain a driver’s license.TRAVEL:30% multimodal travel and international travel.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to operate all Kubota product offering including but not limited to: construction equipment, CUT, outdoor power equipment, and large tractors.
• Working in non-temperature controlled environments.DISCLAIMER:
