Sr Software Engineer

Job Summary
You will be part of a talented team of software engineers who strive to provide a best-in-class solution for our dental customers. This position is responsible for performing advanced full stack programming tasks for the maintenance and enhancement of our Dentrix Enterprise Practice Management System. Your initial area of focus will be on reporting, appointment booking and office manager.
What You Will Do

• Development of enhancements and eliminate bugs in the Dentrix Enterprise Software
• Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings
• Mentor more junior engineers
• Solve complex problems using knowledge, passion, and curiosity
• Craft code that reflects an expert understanding of object-oriented design, refactoring, clean code, clean architecture and solid engineering principles
• Follow the Test Driven Development (TDD) paradigm when possible and mentor others in its use

Technologies

• C, C++, C# and .NET framework a must
• Java, NodeJS, and JavaScript are a plus
• Knowledge of SQL and WinForms
• CI/CD pipelines with Gitlab
• Web APIs (REST)

Qualifications
What You Will Have

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science preferred or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of experience building backend software utilizing our technology stack
• Understanding of domain driven design
• Good working knowledge of unit testing
• Understanding of working in an agile environment (Jira a plus)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Enjoys sharing ideas with and learning from other team members

The posted range for this position is $96,000 - $115,000 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc. This position is eligible for a 10% bonus not reflected in the posted range.
