We are seeking a Sr Staff Software Engineer, to join our team focused on our external digital ecosystem, Cytiva.com (dotcom). Our digital platform serves as a hub for various services for customers. We thrive on innovation, collaboration, and a customer-centric approach to everything we do.

You will be an integral part of one of our product teams, driving the technical direction and development efforts of our platform. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the scalability, reliability, and performance of our services. Additionally, you will serve as the technical lead within your product team, guiding and mentoring junior engineers, and advocating for best practices in software engineering.

What You'll Do:

• Act as the technical authority within your product team, providing guidance on architectural decisions, design patterns, and best practices.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy features and enhancements to our ecommerce platform.

• Engage directly with customers to gather feedback, understand pain points, and identify opportunities for improvement.

• Design and implement scalable and resilient microservices architecture to support our growing platform.

• Apply knowledge of design patterns such as micro-frontends to create modular and maintainable user interfaces.

• Ensure high code quality through code reviews, automated testing, and adherence to coding standards.

• Continuously evaluate and improve our software development processes, tools, and technologies to enhance team productivity and efficiency.

• Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment within your product team, encouraging knowledge sharing and cross-functional collaboration.

• Cloud Computing Proficiency: Demonstrated experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or Google Cloud. Ability to deploy, manage, and scale applications in a cloud environment, ensuring optimal performance and cost-efficiency.

Who You Are:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality software products in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong experience working in a product team, with a deep understanding of Agile methodologies and practices.

• Proficiency in Typescript, .NET Core, Angular or React along with a solid understanding of microservices architecture and design patterns.

• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to lead and inspire a team of engineers towards a common goal.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Passion for understanding customer needs and delivering innovative solutions to address them.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting quickly to changing priorities and requirements.
