Sr. Consultant, Asset Management Operational Data

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Under general supervision (but works independently most of the time) responsible for supporting the governance and structure of business unit data architecture.
• Accountable and responsible for managing the data structure and technical process across Client, Account & Product databases driving critical Asset Management functions such as trading and client reporting.
• Ideates, leads the analysis, designs and implements tactical and strategic updates of data structure and builds cross-functional processes supporting them to support business initiatives.
• Meets with cross-functional teams to capture business needs, vet feasibility of- and generate plans to implement changes to data structures to catalyze business outcomes.
• Assists in developing user documentation and departmental policies and procedures that impact the use of application systems
• Generates technical stories for development teams under agile methodology to achieve strategic goals.
• Conducts tests or test planning sessions, provides input for feasibility and prepares user documentation and follow-up evaluation
• Carries out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact
• May have direct interaction with committees and/or Senior Management
• More technically sound in area of expertise and has broader knowledge of system interactions and dependencies.
• Applies various analytical tools and software application experience to increase quality, productivity, and overall effectiveness of user's applications.
• Delivers a work product that requires less revision and oversight
• Able to facilitate discussions and reach decisions across a broad group of stakeholders

NECESSARY EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND EDUCATION

• A College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience is required / preferred.
• 3-6+ years of experience working with relational data bases to develop solutions and deliver business outcomes is preferred
• Experience with Eagle Investment Systems, Aladdin by BlackRock Solutions preferred
• SQL experience preferred
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
• Ability to trouble-shoot and develop solutions to technical issues involving data aggregation and reporting
• In-depth Functional / Industry Knowledge is required
• Highly flexible and adaptable to change in an agile manner
• Technical skills / systems knowledge is required
