About the role

As a Senior Analyst in a well-funded Series B stage start-up you will be defining our growth potential for years to come. You will be an integral part of Reserv’s data team working with our customers to deliver high fidelity data and insights. For this role we are seeking data analysts with strong Python and SQL skills a curiosity for how claims work and how our systems work them the ability to interface with customers from technical and non technical backgrounds and the ability to both run independently and collaborate with our engineering and operations orgs alike. What we need

We need you to do all the things typical to the role:

• Work with our data stack: Python (Pandas to NLTK) Postgres Looker dbt AWS etc.

• Serve as the main technical liaison between Reserv and our largest customers

• Ship reporting code and build ML tools that solve for our customers needs

• Help translate the core lifecycle of a claim into structured data and partner with the product ops team to incorporate low drag data collection into the claim lifecycle

• Communicate ideas and specifications through detailed precise writing

• Influence the culture values and processes of a growing engineering team

• Enjoy and have fun being creative and thinking outside of the box. You will need to draw on analogous situations you’ve worked on before but we are not traversing well-traveled roads. “Where we’re going we don’t need roads!”

Requirements

• 6-8 years of experience as an individual contributor with experience using modern analytics and programming languages with an emphasis on statistical analysis.

• Strong proficiency in SQL (e.g. Postgres BigQuery or Snowflake) and experience working with large structured datasets.

• A proven ability to interface with high value customers and communicate with both technical and non technical audiences in a fast-paced environment.

• Have a strong demonstrated toolkit to build robust and performant models.

• Have a proven track record of shipping high quality data analysis at a high cadence.

• Able to think through customer requirements and prioritize what is a must-have nice-to-have or irrelevant.

• Have a strong technical skillset but also the willingness and ability to take over tasks outside your core competency.
