POSITION OVERVIEW 

We are seeking a motivated and talented Information Security Specialist to join our esteemed team in Bangalore. As part of Trend Micro’s Deep Security Labs, you will play a crucial role in researching vulnerabilities, developing protection mechanisms, and ensuring data security for our flagship products, Deep Security and Trend Micro Cloud One. This position offers an opportunity to work at the forefront of information security, collaborating with global teams to deliver innovative solutions that protect businesses worldwide.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Develop, test, and optimize IPS, Integrity Monitoring, and Log Inspection rules to ensure quality, accuracy, and performance.

• Reproduce and analyze vulnerability and attack scenarios to enhance security measures.

• Conduct testing using exploit PoCs, viruses, Metasploit, and other tools to validate protection mechanisms.

• Analyze security patches and monitor vulnerabilities and emerging threats.

• Execute and analyze results from vulnerability scanners and other security tools.

• Develop and perform comprehensive test cases based on identified security objectives.

• Automate tasks and processes using scripting languages such as Bash, Ruby, Batch, and Perl.

• Utilize tools like VMware Suite, SQL, binary editors, and RDP clients for performance and security testing.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of vulnerabilities, threats, and security best practices.

EXPERIENCE

• Hands-on experience with security tools, vulnerability scanners, fuzzing tools, and penetration testing.

• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP protocols and application layer protocols like HTTP, FTP, and DNS.

• Proficiency in operating systems internals and scripting languages.

• Experience in signature development/testing or penetration testing, including writing exploit code.

• Familiarity with cloud services and container technologies.
