The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer to assume a key role in an energetic, results-oriented Engineering team. The successful candidate will make a highly visible contribution to the end-to-end delivery of a multi-million dollar product offering. They will work closely with local Engineers in Belfast, global Product Management, and staff based in our Silicon Valley headquarters, as part of an Agile team driving rapid growth through high-quality, on-time feature releases that meet and exceed the expectations of our customers.

Your day-to-day

• Assume the role of a key Software Engineer on a team working on the leading Email Security product suite on the market

• Play a vital role in the delivery of ambitious new features and products from Engineering through to Production

• Collaborate with Engineering and Product Management resources to analyse and refine requirements

• Contribute to the build out of our CI/CD software delivery process to support the end-to-end delivery of world class software

What you bring to the team:

• Expertise in, or a strong desire to learn, a wide range of technologies, including:

  • Go, REST, Java, ReactJS, PHP, Perl, AWS, Linux, Terraform, MIME, SMTP
     

• Extensive Linux experience

• Experience in working collaboratively with Product Management, QA and Operations teams

• A track record for delivering high performance, scalable software

• A desire to play a major role in the delivery of complex, high value projects

• Excellent problem-solving, communication & interpersonal skills

Desirable

• Experience working in a product-focused development environment

• Exposure to SaaS-based product delivery

• Experience working as part of an agile software development team

• A keen interest in the cybersecurity domain

• In depth knowledge of email technology, including MTAs (e.g. Postfix), MX records and SMTP

• Experience of parsing and/or manipulating MIME messages in any language
