Staff Product Designer - Data Hub

We’re seeking a highly skilled and visionary Staff Product Designer to join our Data Hub team — driving an AI-forward evolution of HubSpot’s data experience across the platform including our flagship Data Studio product and Workflows. This is a deeply used and foundational part of HubSpot where customers demand both feature richness and effortless usability.

As AI transforms how businesses bring together manage and act on data you’ll be at the forefront of defining how intelligent systems can augment human decision-making and simplify complex data interactions. You’ll help shape the design vision bringing fresh thinking and novel interaction patterns to help us deliver a seamless trustworthy product experience that can truly democratize data use and put the power of data engineering in the hands of our users.

What You’ll Do

• Lead Design for HubSpot’s Data Product Experiences : Define and prototype how HubSpot’s next-generation Data Hub integrates AI — from intelligent data mapping and enrichment to predictive workflows that anticipate user needs.

• Own the Concept Car Vision : Drive the end-to-end design process for a reimagined data experience from early vision concepts to polished execution in collaboration with product and engineering partners.

• Design with AI as a Co-Pilot: Turn models into intuitive experiences — ensuring AI outputs are explainable ethical and empowering for users.

• Rapid Prototyping & Testing : Create high-fidelity prototypes in Figma and other tools to explore emerging paradigms like natural language interfaces and AI-assisted workflow creation.

• Research & Validation : Leverage qualitative and quantitative insights to understand how users engage with automation data and AI recommendations — translating insights into scalable design principles.

• Strategic Vision & Alignment : Collaborate with product and engineering to ensure that design strategy aligns with user needs technical realities and the evolving capabilities of HubSpot’s AI platform.

• Design System Evolution : Extend HubSpot’s design system to accommodate new AI interaction patterns (chat-based UX adaptive UI states smart defaults).

• Mentorship & Thought Leadership : Mentor other designers in AI-centered design thinking sharing learnings on how to balance innovation trust and usability.

Pay & Benefits

The cash compensation below includes base salary on-target commission for employees in eligible roles and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are tailored to your skills experience qualifications and other job-related reasons.
