Staff Software Engineer – Ruby on Rails

What You'll Be Doing:

• Developing backend applications using your knowledge of architecture, monitoring, and product.
• Developing and maintaining automated test suites and debugging production issues.
• Discussing and debating architecture strategies to achieve solutions for our customers.
• Helping and improving the team to achieve unparalleled technical productivity, reliability, and simplicity.
• Lead in developing and sustaining automated test suites, diving deep into debugging production issues.
• Help and nurture engineers on the team, guiding them to scale new heights in their careers.
• Evaluate and deploy essential software tools, processes, and metrics.
• Actively contribute to CloudWalk's engineering-wide initiatives

What You Need To Succeed:

• Experience proactively collaborating across different engineering teams.
• Experience working with service-oriented architectures and complicated systems at scale.
• Comfortable with ambiguity; you enjoy figuring out what needs to be done.
• Ability to quickly understand technical and business requirements, translating them into technical design and implementation.
• Willingness to work closely with the Tech Lead to mentor less experienced developers and help to coordinate tasks and priorities.
• Advanced English communication skills, primarily for internal communication with our diverse, multinational team.
• Is proficient in developing software using Ruby on Rails.
• Possesses excellent knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Proven knowledge about performance optimization and managing/improving CI/CD pipelines.
• Understands the basics of Kubernetes ecosystem.
