Staff Technical Program Manager - Payments

This person will partner with our payments engineering teams to deliver solutions to improve the productivity of Airbnb engineers. A Typical Day:

• Develop a portfolio view of Payments programs and ensure leaders have sufficient visibility into execution status issues and decisions.

• Lead planning execution and delivery of large cross-functional initiatives aimed at increasing the productivity of our technical teams.

• Apply a data-driven approach to measuring developer productivity and happiness to inform roadmap prioritization intensely focusing on developer success.

• Manage effective communication with stakeholders and across teams to ensure alignment and accountability.

• Focuses on key priorities

• Partner with developer teams to develop and enforce high quality internal documentation.

• Acts without being told what to do; brings new ideas to the team

• Collaborate with leadership to implement best practices and aligning on priorities across Payments

• Moves quickly and takes a forceful stand without being abrasive

• Builds atmosphere of trust within the team; inspires team to do their best work and addresses impediments to this quickly and effectively

• Does not let important details slip through the cracks or derail a project

• Regularly assess opportunities; champion best practices drive for process improvements and find new ways of operating with a focus on simplification and productivity.

• Experience working in a highly cross-functional environment where communication with multiple groups is imperative.

• Ability to ramp up quickly and learn new technologies with minimal lag time.

• BA/BS degree 9 years technical project management or relevant experience

Your Location

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites as agreed to with your manager.
