Your Role and Responsibilities
Weâre committed to success. In this role your achievements will drive your career team and clients to thrive. A typical day may involve:
- Storage Strategy Creation: Creating client strategies for storage solutions.
- Enhanced Storage Solutions: Defining IBM storage options to improve existing technology.
- Proof of Concept Delivery: Providing proofs of concept and simplifying technical topics for client understanding.
- Complex Cloud Deal Closure: Building trust to successfully close complex cloud tech deals.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Readiness to travel out of town up to 20% of time annually
- Willingness to engage in local face-to-face client engagements 4-5x weekly (post-covid)
- At least 4 yearsâ experience in Technical Storage Solution Sales
- At least 4 yearsâ experience in Storage systems SAN Object technologies
- Business-Tech Alignment: Experience aligning business goals with tech solutions.
- Stakeholder Consensus Building: Strong interpersonal and communication skills for achieving consensus among stakeholders.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- At least 4 yearsâ experience in working with IBM Storage hardware and software
- At least 4 yearsâ experience in selling solutions to Enterprise market verticals
- Some experience with Operating Systems: Windows Linux UNIX
- Security Market Expertise: Security market knowledge to be a trusted client advisor (training on IBMâs storage offerings is provided).
