Structural Welder

About the Position: We are seeking experiencedStructural Weldersto join our team for commercial and U.S. Navy ship repair projects. This position involves welding and fabricating structural components in accordance with industry standards, blueprints, and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience in shipyard or heavy industrial welding, with a strong understanding of various welding processes.Responsibilities: • PerformSMAW (Stick), FCAW (Flux-Core), and GMAW (MIG) weldingon structural components. • Weld and fabricatesteel, aluminum, and other materialsper specifications. • Read and interpretblueprints, schematics, and technical drawingsto complete projects accurately. • Inspect and test welds to ensure compliance withNAVSEA, AWS, and ABS standards. • Operatetorches, grinders, and other metalworking toolssafely and effectively. • Work in various positions, includingvertical, horizontal, and overhead welding. • Follow strictsafety protocolsand maintain a clean work environment. • Collaborate withfitters, riggers, and other tradesto complete projects efficiently. • Performrepairs, modifications, and new fabricationson ships and commercial structures.Requirements: • Minimum 3 years of welding experience, preferably in a shipyard or heavy industrial setting. • Proficiency inSMAW, FCAW, and GMAWwelding techniques. • Ability to pass aNAVSEA welding certification test(preferred). • Knowledge ofOSHA and shipyard safety regulations. • Experience working withhigh-strength steels and aluminum. • Ability to work inconfined spaces, at heights, and in varying weather conditions. • Must be able to pass adrug test and background check. • Ability to lift50+ lbs and stand for extended periods. • U.S. Citizenship may be requiredfor certain contracts.Preferred Qualifications: • Prior experience withU.S. Navy ship repair or commercial shipbuilding. • CurrentOSHA 10/30 Maritime Certification. • Ability to obtain aDBIDS badgefor access to naval facilities.Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Statement: Venture Dynamics is an equal opportunity employer.
