  • Reactive Managed Services provide immediate assistance for all tech issues.
  • An Analytics Dashboard provides detailed data for more informed business planning.
  • AV Staffing Services provide on-site support of complex AV technology.

As of September 2022, Cenero is an independent subsidiary of RICOH. This acquisition will help RICOH support its customers with their growing number of offices, meeting rooms, and learning spaces that are quickly being modified to support hybrid working and learning models. According to recent reports, the number of video conferencing devices, including room-based endpoints, USB room devices, and personal video communication devices, will grow 500% by 2025.

This role is responsible for handling system testing and commissioning aspects of AV engineering post build and during installation. The System Specialist/Programmer will also be required to program small systems as well as provide technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments as well as establish goals and plans that meet project objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints
  • Review project Scope of Work to ensure quality and completeness of installation
  • Test integrated systems and perform troubleshooting when needed
  • Test point to point functionality of systems
  • Test and troubleshoot control programs (AMX/Crestron/Extron)
  • Write code for DSP systems
  • Load, test, and troubleshoot code for DSP systems
  • Write code for small AV systems
  • Make basic programming changes to larger AV systems.
  • Fine-tune audio-video systems to ensure optimal performance
  • Act as a customer liaison in absence of the Project Manager
  • Responsible for final job documentation as needed
  • Demonstrate job site leadership
  • Ability to travel to various job sites
  • Other duties as required.

Skills, Experience, Education

  • Applicant should have a 2 or 4-year college degree in a technical field.
  • Applicant must have 4 to 5 years of related experience.
  • Applicant must have knowledge of AV fundamentals and ICIA best practices. CTS certification is preferred.
  • Manufacturer Certifications are a plus
  • Biamp, Polycom, QSC, Crestron, AMX, and Extron preferred
  • Experience with installing or supporting AV equipment.
  • Ability to diagnose complex system problems
  • Proficient with test and calibration equipment
  • General knowledge of TCP/IP networking, switches, routers, firewalls
  • Working knowledge of VTC, ATC, networking software, and hardware
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting Video and Audio over IP Protocols
  • Experience with Extron Global Configurator and Crestron programming software
  • Effective communication and interaction with employees, clients, and colleagues
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks with changing priorities
  • Ability to work and think independently and ensure to meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Proven business writing skills
  • Valid Driver's License

  • Must be comfortable and capable of overhead work while on ladders, lifts, and scaffolding.

  • 50% of travel (80% at client sites / 20% at office). The environment is a typical office, server rooms, and NOC centers. Work from home is at the discretion of the Programming Manager
