The Opportunity

Our client is looking to bring on a Systems Administrator to join their Office of Information Technology (OIT). The primary role involves the oversight, management, and administration of the Office 365 and Azure environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in configuring, supporting, monitoring, and maintaining enterprise-level Microsoft cloud environments.
Job duties include, but not limited to:

• Design, upgrade, administer, test, and modify the virtual desktop infrastructure environment to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Assist in ongoing modernization and migration efforts for applications, data, and infrastructure, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal disruption.
• Oversee and manage Microsoft 365 environments, ensuring proper configuration, security, and user access.
• Oversee and manage other Microsoft platforms and environments, ensuring integration and operational efficiency.
• Oversee and manage identity platforms, ensuring secure and efficient user authentication and authorization processes.
• Oversee and manage a multi-cloud environment, ensuring interoperability and optimal resource utilization.
• Architect, design, facilitate, lead, coordinate, and direct technology initiatives across various areas within the organization, including infrastructure administration, application development, data management, cybersecurity, external hosting, identity and access management, network security, privacy, and compliance.

Compensation and Term 

This opportunity is for a full-time, contract position with possible extensions and pay commensurate with experience up to $125,000 per year. Medical, dental, vision and life insurance available after 30 days of hire.

Qualifications you need

A successful Enterprise Architect has the following experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• A minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in information systems engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of five (5) years of professional experience supporting middleware such as API management, IT service automation tools, and batch job services is highly desired.
• A minimum of three (3) years of strong professional experience as a Microsoft Azure cloud systems architect.
• A minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in administration of Microsoft software.
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience in Enterprise Architecture.
