Responsibilities:
• Review individual, corporate, fiduciary, and estate tax returns and prepare some complex tax returns.
• Conduct comprehensive research on tax laws, implications, and planning strategies.
• Oversee sophisticated tax research projects, including those involving international taxation.
• Manage interactions with various government entities.
• Provide strategic transactional tax planning.
• Direct and execute a variety of tax-related projects.
• Develop and mentor our team on tax compliance and planning projects.
• Engage in client relationship management and business development.
Qualifications:
• CPA license required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Taxation (Master’s degree preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in public accounting
• Significant experience advising high-net-worth individuals, businesses, estates, and trusts.
• Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with professional advisors (attorneys, estate planners, investment advisors).
Competencies:
• Strong technical knowledge in accrual accounting and GAAP.
• Proficiency in Lacerte Tax Software and QuickBooks is preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills; working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• International tax experience is beneficial.
• Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with robust research and documentation capabilities.
