The Impact Public Schools Teaching Fellowship is a rigorous pathway to teaching program that allows you to “earn while you learn” through a full-time, hands-on fellowship program. This program is designed for teaching fellows to receive the support, training, & development needed to become a Lead Teacher within 1-2 years (dependent on an individual’s growth progression). GRADE LEVEL:Hiring for both early and elementary education positions
LOCATION:Hiring at multiple locations across the Seattle-Tacoma area (Tukwila, WA, South Seattle, WA, Tacoma, WA, Renton, WA).
SALARY:$43,281-$45,930 based on aligned years of experience up to 10 years. Plus up to $10,500 in financial support to enroll in a teacher certification preparation program.
STATUS:Full time school year, benefits eligible, exempt, in-person position
START:First day of new staff training on August 1, 2025

Core Job Functions:
Under the guidance and supervision of your school leadership and in partnership with your classroom’s Lead Teacher to create a positive learning environment (70%):
• Classroom Management
• Work closely with the Lead Teacher to contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment, support effective behavior management strategies, and assist in creating a safe and engaging atmosphere conducive to student learning.
• Support individual student needs to be successful in participating in an inclusive learning environment.
• Instructional Practices
• Work closely with the Lead Teacher to consistently execute core best practices aligned to Impact’s instructional model in a variety of formats (whole group, small group, one on one).
• Independently lead enrichment and small group instruction in support of effective literacy, math, language development skills, and social emotional learning
• Provide coverage as needed for lead teacher or other teaching fellow absences
Planning and Preparation (10%)
• Assist the Lead Teacher in your classroom with implementation of comprehensive lesson plans provided by IPS’ Academic team and anticipate student responses and potential challenges, and plan targeted questions and exemplar work samples to facilitate comprehensive and effective instruction.
• Communicate with families regularly, leveraging asset-based language to describe scholars’ academic and behavioral strengths and potential barriers.
Training & Development(15%)
• Participate in Impact’s school and network-wide training and development sessions as well as individual coaching.

Required Qualifications
• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in education or related field or actively working towards completing a bachelor's degree (within 2-years of employment required)
Preferred Qualifications
• Any experience working with youth ages 4-11
• Proven commitment to and experience with serving students of color, students with disabilities, and/or multilingual students
License/Certification
• Must be eligible to obtain certification by OSPI with an endorsement in Elementary Education
• Must have or be eligible to obtain a CPR certification
• Must have or be eligible to obtain a food handler certification
Non negotiables
• Must be able to obtain then provide an academic transcript if hired
• Must pass a fingerprint and background check
• Complete Safeschools trainings
