Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Tech Lead to join our team. This role primarily focuses on the back end ensuring the robustness and scalability of the Zappyrent ecosystem. The ideal candidate will guide our engineering team in making strategic technical decisions promoting best practices and driving the technical vision of our platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor the back-end development team fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
- Oversee the architecture and development of microservices ensuring scalability and performance.
- Make informed decisions regarding the technology stack tools and platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business goals.
- Investigate and resolve complex technical issues providing expert guidance and solutions.
- Ensure seamless integration and performance of our legacy PHP application and Python Lambda functions within the current TypeScript-based tech stack.
- Leverage AWS or other cloud services to optimize and enhance the platform’s capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- A minimum of 7 years of proven experience in software development and architecture.
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with microservice architecture.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams fostering a collaborative environment.
- Strong decision-making skills and the ability to involve and inspire team members.
- Proficiency in TypeScript with a good understanding of PHP and Python.
- Experience with AWS or other cloud service providers.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to investigate and resolve complex technical issues.
