Job Description

American Hydrotech, A Sika Company, is a manufacturer of high quality, waterproofing products and garden roof assemblies

The Sales Technical Representative will be responsible for promoting, specifying, and selling roofing and waterproofing systems to commercial, industrial, and institutional clients. This role involves providing technical support, building strong customer relationships, and achieving sales targets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in protected membrane roofing and waterproofing systems, excellent sales skills, and the ability to communicate complex technical information effectively. Candidate can be located in either Seattle,WA or Portland, OR.

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the low slope roofing and waterproofing market.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, architects, consultants, and building owners.
  • Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions for clients and industry professionals.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and objectives.
  • Provide technical assistance and support to customers regarding product selection, application, and installation.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and project progress.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on sales performance, market conditions, and customer feedback.

Qualifications

  • Highly motivated self-starter who is an active team player with good verbal, phone, presentation and written communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge and expertise in low slope roofing systems, waterproofing products, and related materials.
  • 3 to 8+ years of progressively increasing experience is desired.
  • Detail oriented and good with numbers, organized and enjoy being a part of a very fast-paced business environment in which multi-tasking is the daily norm.
  • Computer skills needed include Microsoft Office package, concentrating on Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. AutoCAD and/or SalesForce.com experience is desirable.
