Technical Writer (Part-time)

First Dollar is building a health wallet for modern, member-driven plans. We power software-defined benefits that people love to use. Founded by a repeat founding team with prior exits to athenahealth and Expedia, First Dollar has ambitious plans to make healthcare better by improving how people pay for it.

We're looking for a part-time technical writer to join our Platform team. Working directly alongside engineering and product, you will play a critical role in expanding First Dollar's Developer Portal. This developer portal guides engineering teams at large health plans and benefits administrators, allowing them to easily integrate financial benefits like Health Savings Accounts (HSAs), Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs), commuter benefits, and more into their offerings.

You will:

• Work with product, UX, engineering, and customer success to develop excellent documentation for First Dollar's Developer Portal
• Become a domain expert in the benefits First Dollar provides, helping translate the administration of our financial benefits into simple to understand guides for our customers
• Deliver clear, concise, and well-structured documentation such as API reference docs, conceptual and task-based feature guides, and tutorials
• Advocate for the developer experience, reducing friction points with excellent documentation
• As a bonus, you contribute to this documentation using HTML, CSS, Markdown, and JavaScript, and can manage the repository our documentation is stored in using GitHub
