Tile Setter - Company Truck Provided

Summary: The Tile Setter is responsible for installing tiles in a variety of settings, including floors, walls, ceilings, and countertops. They must be able to measure and cut tiles accurately, as well as apply grout and sealants. Tile setters must have a good eye for detail and be able to work quickly and efficiently. Below are the Essential Duties and Responsibilities included but not limited: • Read and interpret blueprints or instructions to determine the best way to lay out tilework. • Measure and mark surfaces to be tiled, using measuring tools such as rulers, levels, or chalk lines. • Cut tiles to fit around obstacles or into odd spaces using hand tools, power saws, or tile cutters. • Spread mortar or adhesive on surfaces using trowels. • Arrange tiles in patterns on the surface before setting them in place. • Set tiles in place and apply pressure to make sure they adhere properly. • Fill joints between tiles with grout, sealant, caulk or other materials using hand tools or power tools. • Wipe away excess grout from between tiles with sponges. • Travel to various job sites. • Nights required. • Must be able to travel. • Prior to leaving the job site update PFC or PM with photos, notes, etc. • Check in & out using mobile app. • Use internal mobile apps. • Ability to quote time and materials. • Company vehicle provided. • Must be punctual. • Other duties as assigned.
