This job manages and brings consistency to patient-facing, administrative communication needs for the Health System across all channels. Drives various aspects of planning, executing, and tracking of approved omni-channel patient messaging for digital tools and products, specific service lines, care settings and identified journeys. Works closely with the internal IS, procedural, service lines, digital heath, and other stakeholders, and collaborates with the patient education contacts and platform owners to align efforts where needed. This role will also help to drive an audit, the development of a process to create and refresh this content, and the launch of a document management tool to serve as a resource for all users supporting patient facing messaging.

Education
Required - Bachelor's degree in corporate communications, public relations/journalism, or English.

Work Experience
Required - 3 years of experience related to copy writing, product design, or experience design.
Preferred - 1 year of experience writing for digital/mobile channels with demonstrated project management experience.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Ability to write content for web/mobile products, emails, landing pages, or editorial content.
  • Ability to solve business and user experience problems with content.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills.
  • Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
  • Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.

Job Duties
  • Creates copy and messaging that is consistent, easy to understand, and at appropriate reader levels.
  • Understands the voice of customer and translates that into content to guide Health System consumers and patients through various experiences, interfaces, and channels.
  • Organizes and manages (via platform and processes) patient-facing, administrative copy, and coordinate with other users across the system.
  • Analyzes existing content to identify and prioritize gaps and needs across existing and proposed omni-channel patient messages.
  • Serves as a user experience writer subject matter expert resource across the system.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
