Essential Responsibilities

  • Perform purchasing activities to provision outside vendor repair services of aircraft engine parts and component for GEESM needs, in the most efficient and economical manner.
  • Action, monitor and expedite the outside vendor repair parts to be able to deliver as required to ensure parts are turned around within the agreed TAT to meet the production schedule.
  • Responsible for planning of known requirements for repairable parts.
  • Liaise with vendor to ensure the repair parts are turned around within the agreed TAT to meet the production schedule.
  • Able to plan and identify option or back up option for late arrival of OV repair parts.
  • Action on material requirements or reports and user feedback such as repair delays, discrepancy reports, modification special inspections etc.
  • To review vendors quotations to determine the best price and delivery
  • Respond to customer support inquiries
  • Liaising with other departments to support the Outside vendor repair activities
  • Feedback to vendor timely basis for the repair TAT which not meeting expectation
  • Vendor performance reporting, identify action required to improve vendor performance and execute th actions
  • Respond to the quarantined/ on hold OV parts timely
  • Become point of contact for vendor related issues including quality, invoice discrepancy, shipping
  • Initiate / support LEAN activities and projects to continuously improve the business processes.
  • Perform other relevant duties as assigned on time

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering or Supply chain Management or Business Administration or related field.
  • Min 3 years' working experience in Aircraft engine overhaul industry with experience in operations or on time delivery /customer support.
  • Familiar with aircraft engine parts and components
  • Experience in handling of suppliers/ vendor.
  • Flexible and able to respond quickly to changing job demands and prioritize multiple responsibilities
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
