Agilent's global communications organization is responsible for sharing Agilent news and information with internal and external audiences. The team works with executives, employees, and others to develop communications content with our audiences. As part of this, a production videographer plays a crucial role in creating captivating content to help tell the Agilent story.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Video development - Planning, development and editing high quality video content. The role requires strong storytelling ability, understanding how to use video to convey key messages, the ability to assemble high-quality, engaging video footage on set and on location, and outstanding editing skills. Also, knowledge, understanding and experience recording and editing video sound, use of props and lighting are key.
  • Collaboration - Significant collaboration working closely with creative teams and clients to plan, visualize and align on video shoots.
  • Equipment setup and management -- Must be able to efficiently set up and take down cameras, microphones, lighting, props, and equipment. Storing and management of all required equipment.
  • Editing - Effectively edit video is critical to this role. You will be asked to edit footage after recording, adding computer graphics, closed captioning, and special effects, as well as editing presentations for the highest quality final product.
  • Background preparation - Preparation of background film (also known as "b-roll") as well as the use of more than one recording device at the same time to capture different angles and perspectives.
  • Project variety - The person assuming this role will need to creatively lead different project types in various recording environments based on the company's needs. In addition, continuously developing fresh, "new looks" for Agilent video within the company brand guidelines will be an important element toward ensuring engaging, compelling content.

  • Technical proficiency - Possess technical skills in camera operation, lighting, sound, and video editing.
  • Creativity - Strong creativity, storytelling, and editing abilities.
  • Adaptability - The person chosen for this role must be highly adaptable to new creative mediums.
  • Teamwork -Able to collaborate with various teams on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Coaching skills - Must have experience understanding how to make subjects comfortable in front of the camera.
  • Subject/topic knowledge - While this role doesn't require detailed knowledge of complex biopharma or technology issues, it does require the ability to help individuals simplify complex topics for a broader audience. Knowing how to ask the right questions, ensuring points are communicated and focusing on communication outcomes are important characteristics for this position.
  • Attention to detail -- interpersonal skills and attention to detail are critical.
  • Pre- and post-production knowledge and skills -- A strong understanding of pre- and post-production video techniques will be necessary for this individual to successfully deliver video content in a timely, , manner for strategically significant communications projects.

Location: Must be commutable to the Santa Clara, CA office.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with a focus on cinematography, video production, communication, or business preferred
  • 5-8+ years of experience in video/digital content production. Practical experience is crucial for understanding the industry, leading teams, and handling projects effectively

The US pay range for this full-time position is $131,971.00 - $206,205.00/yr, plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum new hire pay for the position across the relevant US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
