Warehouse Custodian

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness. Duties • Perform routine custodial tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors. • Conduct thorough cleaning of restrooms, break rooms, and common areas. • Maintain cleanliness of windows, walls, and surfaces to uphold facility standards. • Operate floor care equipment such as buffers and scrubbers for deep cleaning tasks. • Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs. • Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts effectively. • Provide porter services by ensuring that all areas are stocked with necessary supplies. • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient cleaning schedules are maintained. • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly. Requirements • Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning is preferred. • Familiarity with industrial cleaning methods and equipment is a plus. • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness. • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with cleaning duties. • Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and waxing is beneficial. • Basic skills in facilities maintenance or residential painting are advantageous. • Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team. • A positive attitude and strong work ethic are essential for success in this role.
