In this role you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers) where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) and IBM HTTP Server (HIS) Administrator with strong proficiency in administering WAS and HIS on Linux at the SME level. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of WAS and HIS administration including installation upgrades application deployments configuration security vulnerability fixes and fine-tuning.
- Strong proficiency in IBM IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) and IBM HTTP Server (HIS) Administration on Linux at the SME level
- Must have strong technical experience in WAS and HIS to handle the tasks individually - Installation and Upgrades Application deployments Configuration Security vulnerability Fixes SSL Certificate Installation/Renewal Fine Tuning etc.
- Experience in building environments from scratch and performing production support.
- Hands on experience in WAS Admin scripts like Jython
- Experience in configuring Java Messaging Services
- Experience in WAS deployments automation using Ansible
- Strong Experience in Linux operating systems and shell scripting languages (e.g. Bash)
- Strong analytical and Communication skills
- Familiarity with IBM MQ and programming languages like PERL Python
- Good knowledge on SQL statements and Database concepts.
- Nice to have: knowledge on SWIFT MT and ISO messaging protocols.
