Welder

We are looking for skilled Welders with experience in shipbuilding or ship repair to join our team. The ideal candidates will be proficient in various welding techniques and possess strong mechanical skills for fabricating and assembling metal structures. This position involves working on shipyard sites and requires the use of hand tools as well as operating equipment such as cranes and press brake machines. Responsibilities • Perform welding of stainless steel and carbon steel using MMA, TIG, or stick welding techniques to fabricate metal components. • Ability to produce high quality welds in all positions. • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements. • Utilize hand tools and equipment for cutting, shaping, and assembling metal parts. • Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure adherence to safety standards and project specifications. • Maintain a clean and organized work area on construction sites. • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively. • Perform related work as required. Qualifications • 1-3 years of proven experience as a Welder in shipbuilding environment. • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various welding equipment and hand tools. • Ability to use measuring tools such as micrometers for accurate measurements. • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety protocols. • Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team. Certification • Valid welder's MMA, TIG certificates (required) • OSHA Safety regulations and work practices certificate (preferred) Mobility • Willingness to travel and work on a rotational basis if necessary Job Type: Temporary Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour Work Location: In person
