Welder

Welder Primary Responsibilities: • Adhere to all OSHA, MSHA, and site specific safety regulations. • Weld components according to specific welding procedure specifications • Use of hand and power tools to safely and properly measure, cut, assemble, and weld structural and piping components • Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and welding procedures to ensure welding compliance • Maintain welding equipment and work area in a clean and safe condition • Ability to travel with short notice for extended durations Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Ability to communicate well with supervisors, co-workers, and clients • Must be able to weld multi processes • Ability to weld carbon and stainless steel. Other exotic metals preferred. • Must be able to demonstrate basic pipefitter knowledge, math, measurements & take-offs • Ability to identify and select the appropriate tools, material, and equipment necessary to perform tasks • knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the work of the trade and work sites. • High level expertise of the standard methods, practices, materials, tools and equipment • Ability to interpret drawings, P&ID’s, manufacturer's specifications, and other technical plans • Ability to lift, carry, and handle items weighing up to 50 pound frequently • Ability to work at heights above 100’ in elevation Education, Experience, and Certifications: • High school diploma or GED preferred • Minimum 5 years of experience required • Proficiency in welding processes SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, and FCAW • Technical training is strongly preferred • NCCER certifications or equivalent in welding preferred Job Type: Full-time Pay: $24.00 - $32.00 per hour Shift: • 8 hour shift Work Location: In person
