Job Description
Overview
The Welder/Assembler is responsible for fabricating, assembling, and finishing components according to blueprints, work instructions, and safety standards. This position requires proficiency in TIG welding, basic mechanical assembly skills, and attention to detail to ensure all products meet quality and performance standards. Qualifications
• 1–3 years of experience in TIG (manufacturing environment preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and assembly drawings.
• Familiarity with measuring tools such as calipers, tape measures, and squares.
• Must be able to lift 60 pounds regularly and 180 pounds occasionally (team lift/hoist).
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift in a non-climate-controlled environment.
• Must be safety-minded and able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Prior experience in mechanical or electrical assembly within a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Demonstrated dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling small components.
• Ability to stand/walk for in a non-climate-controlled industrial setting.
• Must be able to operate a forklift and assist with shipping products as needed.
Duties
• Safely and efficiently assemble pump components and sub-assemblies according to production and quality standards.
• Perform assembly, packing, and testing of pump skid systems using designated equipment and procedures.
• Use hand tools repetitively to assemble raw/machined/plastic castings with attention to fit and tolerance.
• Ensure proper connections and functionality of electrical and mechanical components.
• Maintain accurate records of production and quality checks.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve assembly issues and improve processes.
• Operate a forklift to move materials and stage product for shipping.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including support tasks in related production areas.
Education, Experience, & Skills
• Working knowledge with assemblies and sub-assemblies a plus.
• Welding certification or technical training a plus.
• Experience with electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems a plus.
• High School Diploma or GED.
