The Solution Architect team in IBM Technology Expert Labs plays a key role in addressing the client's functional non-functional and technology implementation requirements with a solution design and proposal. Solution Architects are deep product experts that design the to-be architecture with products and services leveraging standards best practices and assets. This team works closely with clients sellers and the delivery team to architect propose and build technical solutions based on the client's desired business outcomes IBM technology and industry best practices.

You will be part of a team of Solution Architects focused on designing solutions with IBM’s Automation technologies. You will be part of a team of Solution Architects focused on designing solutions with IBM’s technologies. You will work closely with clients and account teams to define technology solutions including technical architectures and technology services that meet the client's business goals. In this role you will lead evaluation of the business needs and defining solutions with IBM technology and services that leverage and fit in with the client's software hardware and infrastructure. A successful Solution Architect will look for repeatable architecture patterns automation and assets to be deployed at scale.

- Providing end-to-end technical guidance to lead discovery discussions with clients assess architecture needs for projects work with clients and sellers to create solution proposals and guide delivery teams during implementation.
- Assuming overall technical responsibility for the success of proposed solution design solution content and solution implementation.
- Identifying solution patterns that include software configuration systems architecture and related sizing in phases such as design development integration production support and operations.
- Developing commercial models for the services oriented function delivering outcomes to Clients by: scoping building novel consumption models in close collaboration with Sales.
- Being a trusted advisor at all levels – from engineers to CIOs – navigating challenging debates to reach healthy resolutions.
- Master Degree from a Technical University (STEM)
- 7-10 years of professional experience.
- Technology Skills: Skills and knowledge in one of the IBM’s technologies listed above.
- Track record of sizing and defining services focused solutions including functional and implementation requirements for phases such as design development integration production support and operations.
- Client Stakeholder Credibility Building: Experience in building credibility and service orientation with client stakeholders.
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Additional European language on top of excellent English (min. C1)
- PhD in Technical or Physics or Mathematics fields
- Technology Expertise: Deep expertise in at least one of the following technology areas as listed above.
- TOGAF certification or equivalent
- Project Management certification is a plus
- Client facing Experience: Experience working with clients in defining technology solutions.
- Strong practical knowledge of the OpenShift and Cloud experience.
- Experience with adjacent technologies for major hyper-scalers are considered a plus.
