<p>FIGS is looking for a Senior Search amp Recommendations Engineer to join our team and take ownership over our Search amp Recommendations platforms and capabilities Were looking for a selfstarter who can work independently to build out search and recommendations services that will power FIGS ecommerce site and app Well use these services to handle customer product searches product recommendations product listing ranking optimization personalization etc <p> <p>Our backend services are written in Java with Spring Boot and our frontend end is written in React All of our custom services are dockerized and deployed on AWS using EKS We use CircleCI as our build and integration platform We use Datadog and OpsGenie for our monitoring setup<p> <p><strong>What youll do<strong><p> <ul><li>Work as an engineer independently to iterate on our Search platform and build out recommendation services to power experiences on wearfigscom<li> <li>Partner with our product and engineering teams to brainstorm creative solutions to address business challenges<li> <li>Build scalable maintainable and performant backend services<li> <li>Build and maintain services that help us integrate and aggregate core ecommerce data from our various internal and vendor platforms<li> <li>Improve our operational efficiency by automating core processes<li> <li>Provide clear and constructive feedback via code reviews<li> <li>Work with fellow engineers to maintain the quality readability and integrity of our codebase<li> <li>Participate in oncall schedules and writing reliable code <li>
