The division cares for patients at HSHS St. John’s Children’s Hospital, a 92-bed referral hospital serving a population of 1.5 million. The pediatric ICU consists of 8 beds and 9 intermediate/ICU flip beds. The division also manages an active procedural sedation service. All major pediatric subspecialties are represented, and research, quality improvement opportunities, and teaching are encouraged. The position comes with an academic rank commensurate with experience. Candidates must be BC/BE in Pediatric Critical Care by the American Board of Pediatrics and licensed to practice medicine in Illinois.
