Q2 is seeking a SQL Database Administrator to join the Database Operations Team. This team is responsible for the operation and delivery of Q2's customer facing Software as a Service (SaaS) and custom hosting products. The position will be responsible for performing daily operational processes and troubleshooting events, as well as fulfilling customer requests for database services. The role is for someone that has some database experience and is looking to advance their career by working alongside talented and experienced database engineers. The responsibilities include performing monitoring, administration, repair and maintenance of the SQL databases within the customer hosted environments, actively contributing to the configuration, layout and performance tuning of the production infrastructure, responding to service requests and troubleshooting issues as needed, assisting with customer implementations and upgrades, supporting requests for unscheduled Database backups and restores, attending and actively participating in weekly meetings, participating in rotating 24x7 'on call' support coverage for data center related issues, performing maintenance related activities during scheduled weekend maintenance windows, creating and updating existing documentation of processes and procedures in support of administration tasks, ensuring that all security, availability, confidentiality and privacy policies and controls are adhered to, participating in capacity management, expansion and growth planning.
