the summer time across June to August <p><p>A <strong>Content Moderator<strong>s job is to make sure all usergenerated content on the platform is free of illegal hate speech and harmful content that goes against the community guidelines However their job is more than policies and rules but its also about making good judgement calls in policy grey areas when working in a fast paced environment while going over a high volume of content<p><p><p><p><strong>The Opportunity 🏆<strong><p><p>As a <strong>Content Moderator<strong> your role will consist in keeping users experience safe enjoyable and inclusive at all times so that players of all ages can feel comfortable and confident when using our clients gaming platforms The role is crucial in <strong>safeguarding the gaming online community<strong> by making sure any harmful language and inappropriate content is reviewed and moderated at all times and escalated if necessary <p><p><p><p><strong>What to expect on a typical moderation shift<strong> 📅<p><p>On your shift youll be going over a set amount of reported content which is all centralised in our moderation tool The content can range from comments chats strong graphic images videos and audio files Dependant on the number of content reports in the queue you will be expected to moderate a set number of reports per hour Moderation guidelines are provided by the client and will be accessible throughout every shift as well as part of your training and onboarding<p><p>In addition to<p><ul style=> <li style=>Moderate in accordance with The Social Element and clientspecific guidelines in a KPI driven environment<li> <li style=>Keep up to date with notifications of any new changes in the guidelines or our systems that may impact your work<li> <li style=>Carry out moderation and training according to the times scheduled in the project schedule <li> <li style=>Resilient to review content that may be unexpected sensitive intense or challenging<li> <li style=>Escalate usergenerated content that falls within the official escalation processes eg child safety bomb threats<li> <li style=>Inform Supervisors and or project management team of any technical or other issues with tools or content and providing feedback on any client issues<li> <ul><p><p><p><strong>Requirements<strong><p><p><strong>Working Hours<strong> 🕑<p><p>We are looking for <strong>seasonal<strong> <strong>parttime up to29hs pweek<strong> and the work would take place during June July and potentially August with the onboarding process beginning approximately at the end of April While this does not provide set weekly shifts throughout the whole year it is a great chance to gain experience with this project and our agency Currently we could offer <strong>up to 29 hours per week<strong> depending on a persons availability <p><p>Ideally we are looking for people who have flexibility and availability to work <strong>across weekdays evenings andor weekends<strong> to cover all project hours across 4 US time zones <strong>Evenings and weekends are highly desirable <strong><p><p>Those who perform exceptionally well in their seasonal role and demonstrate a strong commitment to the moderation work will be considered for any available regular <strong>parttime or fulltime hourly positions whenever the opportunity arises<strong><p><p><p><p><strong>What you need to succeed in this role<strong>📙<p><p>💬 <strong>Native level US English<strong> and understanding of the American culture and language <p><p>🧑‍🤝‍🧑 <strong>Background experience<strong> any content moderation or online safety experience is highly desirable or any past work experience where attention to detail and accuracy was essential <p><p>❗ <strong>A high level of resilience<strong> you may encounter unexpected sensitive intense or challenging content This role involves potential exposure to sensitive or graphic content eg harmful language racial comments child abuse violent threats <br>📈 <strong>Tech Proficient<strong> Have confidence in using digital technology google apps communication tools etc as youll be using a variety of online tools for moderation work project notifications and updates video communication so its essential to have this in a remote working set up <br>✨ <strong>Eager to learn and receptive to feedback<strong> your work will be QAd weekly to make sure you meet the set KPIs but dont worry Well make sure you have all the tools and knowledge you need to succeed in the role <p><p>🤝 Your Own Device Policy which means to carry out this work your PC will need to meet the following requirements<p><ul style=> <li style=>Operating system Windows 10 64bits or higher MAC OS X version 13 Ventura or higher<li> <li style=>i5 8th generation or faster 64bit x64 processor<li> <li style=>At least 8GB RAM 16GB recommended<li> <li style=>Internet speed is 20Mbps download 1Mbps upload 50Mbps download 5Mbps upload is recommended<li> <li style=>40 GB available HDD SSD recommended<li> <li style=>A Webcam and headset<li> <li style=>Android or iOS device for 2FA<li> <li style=>Chromebook Linux
