This is a Flexible (Intermittent) category Non-Appropreated position located at the Stukeley Inn, 423d Force Support Squadron, RAF Alconbury, United Kingdom. There are no guaranteed hours, and the incumbent may be required to work 0-40 hours per week, as needed..

Duties
Monitors operations of the Stukeley Inn during business hours, normally during the absence of the manager.
Responsible for issue, receipt, and control of cash boxes. Prepares a report of all significant occurrences during the shift.
Assures patron satisfaction by resolving complaints and other problems. Provides instruction and guidance to all staff members on functions taking place during the shift. Inspects and secures facility at the end of the shift.
Ensures smooth and efficient running of the bar and kitchen, which involves assisting behind the bar when necessary.
During busy periods, may assist in the kitchen to the level of food service worker and wait/bus tables.
Assists the manager with events, functions, and other programs held at the facility.

This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
This position requires the incumbent to be at least 18 years of age to serve and sell alcohol.
This positions requires shift work, to include working on evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
This position requires the successful completion of a food handler's certificate within 30 days of appointment.

*The area of consideration for this vacancy announcement is citizens, permanent residents, and legal residents of the United States (US) who reside within the local commuting area (60 mile radius) of RAF Alconbury, United Kingdom (UK), or will do so within the next 30 days. Eligible applicants must possess a US-issued social security number and be able to provide documentation proving residency status in the UK. Applicants cannot be 'ordinarily resident'. Qualifying Experience (MUST BE SUPPORTED IN YOUR RESUME):
You must possess experience in the following duties:
Working in a club, restaurant, and/or retail environment that provided experience taking orders, assisting customers, accepting cash and credit card payments and making correct change, and utilizing a cash register or online sales transaction system; AND
Performing food catering services; AND
Mixing alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to standardized recipes and individual specifications; AND
Handling and serving food in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify.
Additional information
Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. or U.S. Territory for three (3) or more consecutive years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation.
All Federal NAF employees are required by PL 104-134 to have salary payments made by electronic funds transfer/direct deposit.
Probationary period may be required.
Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from hiring preferences and priority consideration eligible.
Additional selections may be made from this vacancy announcement for up to 60/90 days after the closing date. Multiple positions may be filled from this announcement.
Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
LQA is not authorized.
Post Allowance is authorized for Regular Full-Time employment category only.
This is a Nonappropriated Fund (NAF) position carrying out Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) activities for the Air Force and Space Force.
