1201 - Mid Sustainment Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
Dignitas is seeking a Mid-level Sustainment Engineer. Core responsibilities will focus on all aspects of support for a hardened, fielded production US Army training system, including phone support and remote troubleshooting. Maintain test environment that matches the deployed system (system installation, configuration, and maintenance), design on site test plans, deploy upgrades at remote sites, maintain detailed documentation, and support customer demonstrations.
Essential Functions and Requirements
- Knowledge of Live, Virtual, and/or Constructive US training systems
- Knowledge of VMware ESXi hypervisor and virtual networks
- Moderate networking skills, including Cisco switch configurations,
- Knowledge of cybersecurity and the Risk Management Framework
- Scripting skills/experience (Ansible, Linux shell, Powershell+)
- IT Troubleshooting background
- Linux and Windows experience, especially as a system administrator
- Decision making ability.
- Attention to details.
- Ability to work in a team as well as an individual.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain deadlines.
- Ability to review logs and troubleshoot problems.
- Good problem-solving skills
- Good time-management skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Past military experience with a thorough understanding of Army organization highly desired

- CompTIA Net+
- VCP

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities but can occasionally be tasked to provide leadership on special projects.
Work Environment/Physical Demands/Hours of Work
Work is in a computer lab facility on-site. Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds. 40 hours per week.
Required Education and Experience
- 3-5 years of experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other relevant degree preferred.
- Bachelor's degree with relevant work experience in a technical field will be considered.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Ability to obtain a Security Clearance
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must be able to obtain Security+ certification.
- Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time.
