Summary This position is part of the US Election Assistance Commission. The incumbent will be responsible for serving a key role in the Voting System Testing and Certification and Voting System Test Laboratory (VSTL) Programs. They will also serve three distinct roles: 1) Project Manager 2) Assistant Auditor for Quality Assurance & Quality Management Systems; and 3) Election Technology Liaison. Learn more about this agency Duties Manages voting system test campaigns including application, test plan execution, system testing, test case and test suite review, and test report review. Provides technical analysis of engineering change orders. Serves as an assistant auditor for quality management systems and quality assurance audits to international, technical, and industry standards. Assists with the development of policy determinations, process models, and standard operating procedures for the Testing and Certification Division. Requirements Conditions of employment US Citizenship is required. Suitable for Federal employment, determined by background investigation. Direct Deposit of pay is required. Applicants who live within the local commuting area of Washington, DC (50-miles or less) are required to perform work onsite and may be eligible for situational telework in accordance with agency policy. Applicants who live outside the local commuting area may be eligible for a long-distance remote work agreement. Qualifications To qualify, applicants must have one-year (52 weeks) of full-time specialized experience. Specialized experience is experience which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. More specifically, specialized experience for this position is defined as: At least one year of experience conducting testing and / or evaluation of complex systems in accordance with technical standards or regulatory requirements; interpreting, applying, or reviewing technical documentation to assess compliance; and coordinating with multidisciplinary stakeholders to prepare technical reports or briefings for technical and non-technical audiences. Additional information Telework Suitability: The duties of this position are suitable for occasional telework and the selectee may be allowed to telework with supervisor approval and if they meet the eligibility criterion in the 2010 Telework Act.
