Summary:The Heart Transplant Program at HCA Florida Largo Hospital is seeking an Advanced Heart
Failure Cardiologist to join its employed practice.HCA FL Largo Hospital, located in the
Clearwater-Tampa Bay Area, has 455 licensed beds and is the regional referral center for advanced
heart failure, VAD, heart transplantation, and ECMO care. In 2023, the Program performed 29 heart
transplants.Qualified Candidates:
Must be board-eligible or certified Must hold or be able to
obtain an active Florida Medical License before startStrong communication and team-building
skillsManage heart failure patients in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. This includes
the preoperative evaluation of cardiac transplant and LVAD patients.Manage patients on a rotational
basis through the inpatient phase post-transplant and post-VAD.Participate in the management of
post-transplant and VAD patientsPreference for, not a necessity, candidates who have experience in
the catheterization lab for right heart catheterization and endomyocardial
biopsy.
